Bulgarian volleyball fans will once again be able to watch Tsvetan Sokolov live in the domestic championship. This became a reality after Volleyball Club Dea Sport officially received a license to participate in WINBET Super Volley for the 2026/27 season.
The decision was made at today's meeting of the Licensing Commission of the NVL-Men, which finally confirmed that all 12 clubs are eligible to participate in the new championship.
We remind you that a month ago, the Burgas club had not met all the requirements under Art. 19 of the Licensing Regulations and was given an additional 30-day period to rectify the identified shortcomings. After fulfilling the set conditions, the commission gave the green light to Dea Sport.
The news also means the official return of Tsvetan Sokolov to Bulgarian club volleyball. One of the most successful Bulgarian volleyball players in history will be among the major attractions of the championship and will undoubtedly increase interest in the new season.
"All 12 teams are now licensed, and tomorrow we will draw the lots for the new season, as well as for the WINBET Supercup. On October 17th and 18th, we will kick off with the battle for the first trophy, and a week later we will open the regular season," said Zhivko Zhelev, president of the NVL-Men.
The draw for the 2026/27 season and for the WINBET Supercup tournament will be held tomorrow (Tuesday) at 11:00 AM, with the ceremony broadcast live on MAX One.
