The next edition of the Hubert Wagner Memorial will take place in Krakow from August 29 to 31, 2025.
The Hubert Wagner Memorial has firmly established itself in the calendar of international volleyball events. This year, the tournament will be held in Krakow, Poland, and will be an exceptional preparation for the participants before the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship, which will take place in the Philippines from September 12 to 28, 2025. At this stage, the Poles, who are in a group with the Netherlands, Qatar, and Romania, are expected to face strong competition in this tournament.
Last year, the host team from Poland triumphed at the tournament, and later went on to win the Olympic silver medal in Paris.
Another surprise for the participants
At the beginning of the year, the organizers revealed their first 'ace' – the Brazilians will participate in the tournament, having previously taken part in the Wagner Memorial twice and won it each time. In early March, the organizers announced another strong participant – Serbia, who will also be part of the competition in Krakow. The Serbs have participated in the tournament five times, winning medals in three of them, with their best result being in 2016 when they secured second place in the final standings. This time, they will be led by Gheorghe Crețu, who replaced Igor Kolaković as coach.
Bulgaria last participated in the Tournament in 2019, when the same teams were present – Poland, Brazil, and Serbia.
