Montpellier (MHSC VB) continues to impress in the French League A, having won 3:1 against Tourcoing in the 23rd round. This 4-set victory is a good sign 4 days before the upcoming French Cup semi-final against Chaumont on Tuesday in Castelnau, the home fans are sure.
Montpellier continues to be unstoppable at home against the league's top teams. After a convincing victory against Tours (3:0), MHSC VB once again demonstrated its class, this time against Tourcoing.

The Match

Despite a difficult start, the hosts took the first set 25:22, and in the second, they asserted full control – 25:17. Nicolas Le Goff played a key role, dominating at the net with 11 points (1 ace, 4 blocks). Captain Ezequiel Palacios also shone with 19 points (2 aces, 2 blocks), just a day after signing a new three-year contract with the club.

The most effective player for Montpellier was Dimitar Dimitrov, who finished with 20 points and 53% in attack. In the fourth set, the Bulgarian opposite was simply unstoppable – he was not blocked once, recording an impressive 63% attack efficiency.

Tourcoing managed to reduce its deficit by taking the third set (22:25), but Montpellier allowed no surprises. In the fourth set, the team once again showed stability and recorded an important victory, reclaiming the leading position in League A.

Now MHSC VB turns its attention to the French Cup semi-final against Chaumont – a decisive clash that could bring them closer to the final on March 29 in Chartres.
