Montana surprisingly lost to Cherno More at home, Medenis with 28 points

Montana's team surprisingly lost to the visiting Cherno More 1:3 (29:31, 20:25, 25:20, 24:26), making the fight in the top eight even tighter. With this clean victory, the "sailors" are eighth with 21 points, before tomorrow's match between seventh-placed Deyа (25 points) and ninth-placed Pirin, who has 20 points. Three more rounds remain until the end of the regular season, with Cherno More hosting Lokomotiv Avia in the 20th round, and Pirin having a match against Dobrudzha.

The match started very competitively, with the guests needing more than half an hour to take the lead. After 23:24 for Cherno More, several game ball changes followed, leading to 29:31 for the volleyball players from Varna. Montana led until the middle of the second game with 18:17, after which the initiative shifted to the opponent's side, allowing Dani Milushev's boys to pull ahead 2:0. In the third game, the roles were reversed; this time the guests led 15:14 but missed the chance to close the match 3:0. A very competitive fourth game followed, in which the lead changed frequently, with the guests even leading 16:19 and getting the first match point at 21:24, but a 24:24 tie followed after strong play by Molotkov and two aces by Rubo. In the end, Medenis, who played best in this match, gave Cherno More the victory with two attack points.

Medenis also finished with the most points - 28 (1 ace, 4 blocks).
Molotkov scored 26 (1 ace, 4 blocks), but they were not enough for a win.

In the other match of the day, Levski easily overcame Hebar (Pazardzhik) 3:0 (25:19, 25:21, 25:20) and won for the 18th time in 19 Superliga matches. The "Blues" did not allow their hosts to resist at any point in the game and decided its outcome early. They led 5:1 in the first game and 6:2 in the second, and in the last set, Levski won the first four rallies. Firkl became the MVP of the match.
