Tsvetan Sokolov was a key figure for Dinamo in their victory over Zenit Saint Petersburg

Moscow's "Dynamo" defeated "Zenit" (Saint Petersburg) 3:1 in the 28th round of the Pari Super League, with Tsvetan Sokolov being the key figure for the success. The Bulgarian opposite hitter scored 23 points with 51% attack efficiency and a +8 utility coefficient, proving decisive in crucial moments.

Sokolov contributed to the first set's success with an ace for 21:17, and his stable play in decisive rallies closed the set at 25:22. In the second set, "Zenit" led 10:7, but a series of his short serves turned the score from 18:19 to 24:19. In counter-attacks, he punished every opponent's mistake, and Denis Bogdan finished the set – 25:22.

Despite losing the third set (23:25), "Dynamo" showed its class in the fourth. Sokolov executed two key attacks, and Dmitry Zhuk's block stopped the opponent. An ace by Bogdan led to 19:14, and the Muscovites closed the match with 25:21. Sokolov's dominance was so palpable that "Zenit" coach Vladimir Alekno used the Bulgarian as an example for his opposite hitter Vladislav Babkevich, who failed to match the level.

With the victory, "Dynamo" moves to fourth place in the standings. The team's next match is on March 2 against "Gazprom-Yugra" in Surgut.
Meanwhile, Sokolov became the player of the round.
