Alba Blaj volleyball players started the playoffs in the Romanian championship with a clear victory over eighth-placed CSM Târgoviște. The hosts won 3-0 (25:17, 25:13, 25:14) in the first quarter-final match and took an important step towards the semi-finals.

Blaj showed complete dominance, leaving no chance for the opponent in any of the sets. Bulgarian Monica Krusteva played a strong match and finished as the second-highest scorer for her team with 11 points. She recorded 2 aces, 1 block, and attacked with 44% efficiency.
The second match of the series will be played tomorrow at 6:00 PM, again in Blaj's hall. It was moved forward given the upcoming CEV Cup semi-final, where Alba Blaj will face Hungarian Vasas, scheduled for March 4 in Budapest. Alba Blaj will aim for another swift victory on Friday, with which to end the series and fully focus on its European ambitions.
