Levski women's team again against Apollo 8 in the Challenge Cup

Levski's women's team will face a well-known opponent in the 1/32 finals of the European Challenge Cup tournament in the 2026/27 season. The draw decided that the "Blues" would meet the Dutch team Apollo 8 (Borne).
The first match will be played in the Netherlands between October 27-29, and the return leg in Sofia is scheduled for November 3-5.
Interestingly, the two teams also met last season in the same tournament. Back then, Levski eliminated Apollo 8 after a dramatic 3:2 away victory and a convincing 3:0 success in Sofia, securing their place in the round of 16.
With another victory over the Dutch team, the Bulgarian champion will qualify for the 1/16 finals, where they will meet the winner of the pair between Denmark's Holte and Azerbaijan's DH Volley (Baku).
The draw also pitted several other interesting pairs against each other in the first round of the tournament. Among them are Slovan (Bratislava) – Buducnost (Podgorica), Janta Volley (Kisela Voda) – Lvi Prague, Dinamo (Zagreb) – Olympiada (Nicosia), Shelmy (Brno) – Uniza (Zilina), Panathinaikos (Athens) – CSM (Bucharest), Sporting (Lisbon) – Maccabi (Ashdod), Prostejov – Nova Gorica, Charleroi – Roeselare, Forde – AEK (Athens), and Draisma Dynamo (Apeldoorn) – TIF Viking (Bergen).
