Bulgarian Cup holder Neftochimic 2010 learned their opponent for the 1/16 finals of the CEV Cup tournament in the 2026/27 season. The draw, held today in Luxembourg, pitted the Burgas team against Dutch side Dynamo Apeldoorn.
The first match will take place in the Netherlands between December 8-10, while the return leg in Burgas is scheduled for January 5-7.
Should they succeed, Neftochimic will qualify for the 1/8 finals, where they will face the winner of the pair between Czech Jihostroj (České Budějovice) and Turkish SK Ankara.
Among the other more interesting pairings in the first round of the tournament are Decospan Menen (Belgium)
– Manacor (Spain), Milon (Athens, Greece)
– Poitiers (France), Arcada (Galați, Romania)
– PAOK (Thessaloniki, Greece), Paris Volley (France)
– Skra (Bełchatów, Poland), Amriswil (Switzerland)
– Lvi Prague (Czech Republic) and Jihostroj (České Budějovice, Czech Republic)
– SK Ankara (Turkey).
Teams eliminated from the Champions League qualifiers will also join the tournament, which traditionally raises the level of competition in Europe's second-strongest club competition.
