Bulgarian Cup winner Neftochimik 2010 continues to build its squad for the 2026/27 season. The Burgas-based club announced the signing of Czech receiver Adam Bartoš, who becomes the seventh new addition to the Bulgarian vice-champion's roster.
The 34-year-old Bartoš (198 cm) brings rich international experience, gained in the leagues of the Czech Republic, France, Belgium, Poland, Israel, and the United Arab Emirates. Last season, he played for two teams – the Czech Fatra (Zlín) and the Israeli Maccabi (Tel Aviv).
His greatest successes in his club career came with the French club Tours, where he won the championship title, the French Cup, and the French Supercup in the 2014/15 season, and subsequently won another Supercup in the country. He has also played for Nice, Nantes Rezé, Belgian Maaseik, Polish Bielsko-Biała, and Shabab Al Ahli from the UAE.
With the Czech national team, Bartoš is a silver and bronze medalist from the European League.
With his signing, Neftochimik's new additions are now seven – setters Vladimir Stankov and Konstantin Nechev, middle blocker Dimitar Chavdarov, libero Konstantin Chipev, Serbian receiver Stefan Skakic, Tsvetelin Tsvetanov, and Adam Bartoš.
Remaining in the squad for the new season are opposite Stoyan Dimitrov, libero Yasen Petrov, receiver Dimitar Vasilev, and middle blockers Stefan Chavdarov and Martin Krastev.
However, the selection process for the Burgas team is not yet complete, with new additions still expected before the start of preparations for the 2026/27 season.
