Monika Krasteva, Mira Todorova and Lora Kitipova with wins in Romania before the playoffs

The regular season of the women's volleyball championship in the Romanian Division A1 concluded on Saturday, without major surprises, meaning the playoffs will begin on March 1st with the anticipated matchups.
One of the most important matches in the final round was between Voluntari and Dinamo. This was a rematch of the quarterfinals of the Romanian Cup, but also a match of great importance for the standings.With a victory, Voluntari would have climbed to 3rd place in the standings, surpassing Mirela Shahpazova's Corona Brasov.Dinamo, regardless of the result, remained in 2nd place.
The match started very intensely. Dinamo, led by Miloš Gavrilović, started strong and won the first set after a dramatic comeback from 20-22, finishing 23-25. Voluntari, led by Giovanni Caprara, raised their game level and, after making a quick adjustment, tied the score and took a 2-1 lead in sets.
The fourth set was more balanced, with Dinamo leading 19-18, but at the end of the set, Voluntari managed a decisive comeback and won 3-1 (23-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-22).
The top scorer in the match was Rodica Buterez from Voluntari with 18 points, supported by Suvi Kokkonen who added 17 points. For Dinamo, Cristina Miron and Velkona Grbac were the best, both scoring 14 points.Mira Todorova scored 10 points and had a 56% attack efficiency.

In another match,Lora Kitipova's Rapid defeated the University of Cluj3-0 (25-14, 25-10, 25-12) in their home arena. This was an important victory for the Bucharest team, securing them 7th place in the standings. The top scorer in the match was Andra Badiu-Savu with 13 points.
In Blaj, Volei Alba was surprised by the "daring" of CSM Bucharest's young players, who managed to win the first set 25-19. The hosts' "revenge" came swiftly, as the champions won the next three sets and the match 3-1 (19-25, 25-9, 25-14, 25-17). Amelie Rotar, with 17 points, was the top scorer in the match. After this result, Volei Alba Blaj finished first in the regular season standings.Monika Krusteva finished with 12 points (1 ace, 2 blocks).

The playoffs start on March 1st, with the return matches on March 5th. If the result is tied, a third match will be played on March 8th. The first and third matches will be played on the home court of the better-ranked team.
