Lvi Praha triumphed with their first Czech Cup, and Bulgarian international Nikolay Krtev played a key role in their success. The team led by Juan Manuel Barrial defeated Karlovarsko 3:1 (25:18, 25:21, 21:25, 25:23) in the tournament final.
Krtev finished the match with 7 points, including 5 blocks, proving his importance at the center of the net. The top scorer for Lvi was Oscar Madsen with 19 points (1 ace), and David Collator also added 19 (6 aces). For Karlovarsko, Filip Sestan and Pauls Jansons scored 18 points each.

Lvi Praha's path to the title went through a semi-final victory against Odolena Voda with a convincing 3:0 (25:20, 25:23, 25:19). Karlovarsko, for its part, eliminated hosts Jugostroj also with a 3:0.
This is the first Czech Cup in Lvi's history, as last year they only reached the semi-finals, but this time they managed to reach the top.
