Bulgaria recorded a clean 3:0 (25:18, 25:17, 25:23) victory in their second friendly match against the Italian team. The match was played in the Levski Sofia hall. P. Ivanov, Velichkov, Uzunov, Manolev, Nikolaev, K. Ivanov, and Dobrev entered the game.

In the second set, Dean Marinov replaced captain Petyo Ivanov. In the third part, the coaching staff brought in Daniel Yeniy in place of the starting setter Ivan Uzunov. The Bulgarians controlled the match throughout, with the score reaching 10:2 at one point in the second set.

The third set offered more intrigue, but the Bulgarians still reached match point first at 24:21, closing the match with 25:23. By decision of both staffs, two more sets were played, in which the Italians won 25:17 and in the tie-break 15:11. In these parts, the Bulgarian coaching staff fielded most of the reserves.
