VC Maritsa (Plovdiv) was awarded the "Team of the Month" prize for January in the traditional survey of Pressclub "Bulgaria" among sports newsrooms and media.
The official awarding ceremony will take place at a special press conference, which will be attended by head coach Ahmetcan Erşimşek, team captain Zhana Todorova, and club manager Boris Halachev.
The award is recognition for Maritsa's strong performance last month, when the team for the first time in its history advanced from the Champions League group stage and played in the CEV Cup tournament.
