Monika Krasteva and Alba Blaj qualified for the semi-finals of the second strongest European tournament for the CEV Cup. The Romanian team once again defeated the volleyball players of Porto, this time with a score of 3:1 (25:13, 23:25, 25:9, 25:22), and after their 0:3 victory in Portugal, they advance to face Vasas Obuda (Hungary). According to experts, this team is completely surmountable for the Romanians, with the first semi-final match scheduled for March 4th in Budapest.

Monika Krasteva was once again at a high level, scoring 11 points and achieving 26% in attack. The Bulgarian player made no mistakes on any of the 15 serves she executed in the match.Elizaveta Ruban was the top scorer for the winners with 14 points.
The match proceeded with sharp fluctuations; the hosts started strong but subsequently eased off, allowing the guests to equalize the sets. This was followed by a sudden surge to prevent the visiting team from reaching 10 points in the set. The final part of the match was simply played out, as the hosts had already secured their qualification.
