The semi-finals of the Women's Challenge Cup presented dramatic turnarounds, and two Italian teams – Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri and Roma Volley – will meet in the final.
Golden set decided Chieri's fate
After their first away victory against Galatasaray Istanbul, Chieri seemed like a sure finalist. The Italian team even took the lead in the return leg, but the Turkish side showed character, with Katarina Lazović and Alexia Carutasu scoring a total of 40 points. Despite their improved play and strong serving, the match was decided in a golden set, where Chieri showed better attacking efficiency (47%) and capitalized on 5 opponent errors. Annerys Vargas and Lucille Gicquel were key figures with a total of 49 points, qualifying Chieri for their second consecutive European final.

Roma Volley crushed Potsdam
German club SC Potsdam went to Rome with high hopes after winning the first match, but Roma Volley gave them no chance in the return leg. The hosts dominated every set, only once allowing their opponents to pass the 20-point mark. The Italian team was unshakeable in defense, registering 16 blocks in three sets. Anna Adelusi was the leader with 17 points, while Wilma Salas and Giulia Meli added 11 each.
The Italian team eliminated Levski in the 1/8 finals, defeating them twice with scores of 3:1 and 3:0.
Will Chieri manage to defend its title?
With this result, the Challenge Cup will remain in Italy for the fourth consecutive year, after being previously won by Scandicci, Chieri, and Novara. The question is – will Chieri manage to defend its title, or will Roma triumph with its first European trophy?
