In an attempt to build an ambitious squad for the 2025-2026 season, VakıfBank made a sensational transfer, acquiring Serbian volleyball superstar Tijana Bošković, all Turkish media reported today. After 10 years at Eczacıbaşı, where she was captain for the last five seasons, Bošković decided to accept a new challenge and join the ranks of the "yellow and blacks."
Born in 1997 and 194 cm tall, the opposite hitter began her career at ŽOK Hercegovac and Vizura before joining Eczacıbaşı in the 2015-2016 season. Over the years at the club, she won three FIVB Club World Championship titles, three Turkish Super Cups, two CEV Cups, and a Turkish Cup gold medal.
The national captain of Serbia has an impressive collection of trophies, including an Olympic silver medal from Rio 2016 and a bronze from Tokyo 2020. She triumphed twice at the World Championship and was awarded the MVP in both tournaments. Additionally, she has two European Championship titles.
With this transfer, Bošković ends an era at Eczacıbaşı and opens a new chapter in her career, joining one of the most successful clubs in world volleyball.
Magdalena Stysiak to wear Eczacıbaşı jersey
At the same time, Eczacıbaşı continues its active transfer campaign and made another impressive acquisition, bringing in Polish opposite hitter Magdalena Stysiak. The volleyball player, who was part of Fenerbahçe for the last two seasons and became one of the most sought-after names in the transfer market, will remain in the Sultans League, but now with the Eczacıbaşı team.

Born in 2000 and 203 cm tall, Stysiak is also a key figure in the Polish national team. In her rich club career, she has won championship titles in the Sultans League, the Turkish Cup, and the Turkish Super Cup, as well as trophies from the Polish League, the Polish Cup, and the Polish Super Cup. At the international level, she has two bronze medals from the Nations League with the Polish national team.
