The Italian Volleyball League (Lega Pallavolo Serie A) announced the individual awards and statistical leaders for the 2025/26 season, and among the major honorees is Bulgarian national team player Aleksandar Nikolov. The outside hitter for Cucine Lube Civitanova won the 'Andrey Kuznetsov' award for the top scorer in the SuperLega regular season, having tallied an impressive 450 points.
This is not the only recognition for the 22-year-old Bulgarian. Nikolov also topped the ranking for most points scored from attack, finishing the season with 369 successful attacks – the best achievement in the elite Italian championship.
Besides Nikolov's awards, the League also presented the other individual awards for the 2025/26 season. Angelo Lorenzetti (Sir Susa Vim Perugia) was chosen as the Best Coach in SuperLega, and the award for Best Italian Player Under 23 went to Luca Porro (Valsa Group Modena).
Robertlandy Simon (Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza) was honored as the Best Server, and Marco Gaggini (Sir Susa Vim Perugia) won the award for Best Receiver.
Paul Buchegger (Valsa Group Modena) was named Best Opposite Hitter and finished the season with the most direct service points – 62 aces. Giovanni Sanguinetti (Valsa Group Modena) was chosen as the Best Middle Blocker, and Thomas Beretta (Vero Volley Monza) became the leader in successful blocks with 44 block points.
The individual awards are determined by a vote of the clubs in the Italian championships and are among the most prestigious recognitions in men's club volleyball on the Apennine Peninsula.
