The European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) has published the final list of registered clubs for the 2026/27 season, which VolleyWeek has obtained. The document confirms the participants in all three European club tournaments, their starting positions before the draw on July 15, as well as the qualification scheme for the Champions League.
A total of six Bulgarian teams will participate in the European club tournaments in the new season.
Men:
Levski Sofia – Champions League (qualification rounds)
Neftochimic 2010 Burgas – CEV Cup
Lokomotiv Avia Plovdiv – Challenge Cup
CSKA Sofia – Challenge Cup
Women:
Maritza Plovdiv – Champions League (qualification rounds)
Levski Sofia – Challenge Cup
In the official communication from CEV withvolleyweek.bgit is confirmed that the Bulgarian champions Levski Sofia and Maritza Plovdiv will start their participation in the Champions League from the qualification rounds (Early Rounds). Based on this official document, the final list of all registered clubs is clear, as is the tournament scheme before the draw on July 15, when the men's and women's champions in Bulgaria will learn their first opponents.
The draw will be held at 13:00 Bulgarian time in Luxembourg and will be broadcast live on CEV's official channels.
The document also clarifies that for women, the qualifications will be held in two rounds. The matches from the second qualification round are scheduled for October 20-22 and October 27-29, and the matches from the third round – for November 3-5 and November 10-12. The winners of the third round will join the group stage of the Champions League.
It is further specified that a total of eight teams participate in the women's qualifications. All matches will be played on a home-and-away basis, and only the two winners from the third qualification round will reach the group stage, where 18 already qualified teams await them.
For men, Levski also starts from the qualification scheme, with two teams winning a place in the group stage after overcoming the early rounds. The specific pairings will become clear after the draw on July 15.
