The FIVB Coaches Commission met for its first online session, Stoychev absent

The FIVB Coaches Commission held its annual meeting, the first under the leadership of newly elected President Fabio Azevedo.
Three members of the Commission were absent from the meeting: Laurent Tillie, Ze Roberto, and the Bulgarian representative Radostin Stoychev. Stoychev's absence from the FIVB Coaches Commission meeting might be related to upcoming changes in his professional career. Another reason could be Verona's important upcoming match against Piacenza on Sunday.

The event focused on key initiatives to empower coaches and enhance volleyball development globally.

At the heart of the discussions was the FIVB Strategic Vision 2032, built on the motto 'Together As One'. President Azevedo outlined four key pillars that the Coaches Commission will focus on in the coming year:

  1. FIVB World Ranking

  2. FIVB World Calendar 2029-2032

  3. Technology and Game Integrity

  4. Knowledge Transfer and Sustainability

The meeting also included important discussions regarding game improvement, updates from the Indoor and Beach Volleyball Departments, and information on the latest activities and initiatives of Volleyball World.

The President of the FIVB Coaches Commission, Giovanni Guidetti, highlighted the key role of coaches in realizing the FIVB's long-term vision:

"The FIVB Strategic Vision 2032 is based on the motto 'Together As One'. A coach's role is to unite their team, ensuring they work towards a common goal and intention. The same principle applies to the Global Volleyball Movement. Coaches are vital to the growth and success of our sport, and we must continue to support and empower them at every level. It is also our responsibility to provide opportunities for aspiring coaches to develop their skills and encourage them to engage even more with our community."
