Former Levski Sofia middle blocker Livan Osoria Rodriguez will continue his career in Romania. After playing in the local championship last season, the 32-year-old Cuban was officially presented as a new signing for Rapid Bucharest.
Osoria played for Levski during the 2024/2025 season, when "the Blues" won the championship title, the Bulgarian Cup, and the Supercup. After the successful campaign, he remained in Romania, and will now continue his career at one of the country's most popular clubs.
His new team finished in sixth place in the Romanian championship last season and will try to move higher in the standings with the acquisition of the experienced middle blocker.
Born in Santiago de Cuba, Osoria is 201 cm tall and plays as a middle blocker. In his career, he has played for clubs in France, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, and Argentina, and with the Cuban national team, he has participated in Olympic Games and World Championships, gaining significant experience at the highest international level.
Rapid Bucharest described Osoria as an athlete with impressive physical qualities, rich international experience, and a winning mentality, who should help the team achieve its set goals in the new season. His acquisition is another significant reinforcement for the Romanian club in preparation for the new campaign.
