Season 4 of the Interactive Volleyball League (IVL) has begun, and this year the competition not only continues to provide opportunities for amateur volleyball players but also contributes to the development of Bulgarian sports. One of the most significant highlights at the start of the new season was the support for the national beach volleyball duo Dimitar Kalchev and Dimitar Mehandzhiyski, who are vying for participation in the 2028 Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
Fundraising campaign in support of Kalchev and MehandzhiyskiThe final day of IVL Season 3 became a special moment after participants and organizers of the league united for the cause of supporting the preparation of the leading Bulgarian beach volleyball duo.Thanks to the efforts of everyone involved, the amount of BGN 2,500 was raised, which will be used for a training camp for Kalchev and Mehandzhiyski in Turkey.
At the initiative of IVL, teams, players, and officials in the last matches of the season donated their participation fees and a portion of their honorariums to support the campaign. "I am happy that as early as the third season of IVL, we managed to secure funds for the Olympic preparation of Kalchev and Mehandzhiyski. This shows that our volleyball community is united and ready to support Bulgarian athletes on their way to their big goals," shared Ivaylo Ivanov, founder and initiator of IVL.

They have already started their preparation and are striving for participation in the highest levels of international competitions.

Interactive Volleyball League (IVL) was established in 2023 with the aim of providing an opportunity for volleyball enthusiasts to compete in an organized championship. In Season 4, 26 teams participate – 18 men's and 8 women's. The league is characterized by interactivity, with matches broadcast live on YouTube, and player statistics tracked in real time.
IVL continues to grow and unite the volleyball community, supporting the development of the sport not only indoors but also on the sand.
