Italian silver medalist from the last Scudetto, Cucine Lube Civitanova, officially announced that they have extended the contract of Canadian national Erik Loeppky for two more years. After the initial agreement was until 2026, the 26-year-old outside hitter is now bound to the club until the end of the 2027/28 season.

Loeppky established himself as one of Lube's key players, helping the team reach two consecutive title finals in the Italian SuperLega. Prior to that, he also played a final with Monza, meaning he now has three consecutive appearances in the battle for the Scudetto.
With the Lube team, the Canadian won the Italian Cup in 2025, reached the Challenge Cup final in the same year, and in two consecutive seasons helped the team qualify for both the CEV Champions League and the Italian Super Cup.
Last season, Loeppky recorded impressive statistics. In the regular season and playoffs, he scored a total of 363 points, including 291 in attack, 40 aces, and 32 blocks, becoming one of the key players in reaching the championship final.
"I am truly flattered and excited to stay at Lube. I have had two very good years with the club, and I hope this is just the beginning of what this team can achieve in the future. For my family, life in the Marche region is wonderful, and Civitanova is gradually becoming a second home for us. We feel great in every respect," Loeppky told the club's official website after signing the new contract.
