Today, Dobrich Municipality issued a statement regarding the tension that arose in the volleyball club Dobrudzha 07, about whichvolleyweek.bgwas the first to write.

"The administration supports various sports clubs according to its capabilities. We do not divide clubs into 'ours' and 'yours', because we know that all of them compete in the name of Dobrich. We understand that it is impossible for the demands of all clubs to be met according to their own expectations. We categorically reject the attempts of some municipal councilors to pit the Municipality, as an institution, against the sports clubs in the city. Promises of financial subsidies given by certain councilors during their commission meetings are not financially agreed funds from the Municipal budget. Moreover, a state budget for 2025 has not yet been adopted, and the municipality received a letter with instructions from the Ministry of Finance, which clearly states that until the adoption of the new budget, municipalities must limit expenditures and ensure they are consistent with the financial standards and indicators for 2024. Nevertheless, in January, the two largest sports clubs – the football and volleyball clubs – received financial resources to continue their activities.
We support the fans and management of VC "Dobrudzha 07", who are currently in a difficult situation and their existence is in question. But we remind you that for 2024, Dobrich Municipality has paid BGN 373,277.50 to the club to support its activities. In January of this year, the club received another BGN 50,000.
