Lokomotiv dominated for most of the match, with the Moscow team attempting to extend the game in the third set, but ultimately the Novosibirsk team closed out the match in three sets. The most effective player was opposite hitter Ilya Kazachenkov with 22 points, while outside hitter Omar Kurbanov added 18.
Sivoliz, who was without a team this season, joined Lokomotiv with rich experience from playing for various Russian giants, including Zenit-Kazan, Fakel, Kuzbass, Dynamo Moscow, and Zenit Saint Petersburg. He last played for Fakel and Zenit Saint Petersburg during the 2023/24 season.

With the victory, Lokomotiv solidified its second-place position in the standings with 18 wins from 22 matches. Plamen Konstantinov's team's next challenge is an away game against Dynamo-Ural on February 5, and on February 15, the team will return home to host Belogorie.

Evgeny Sivoliz has played for the Russian national team. He was part of the squad between approximately 2011 and 2016 and participated in major tournaments such as the World League, the European Championship, and the Olympic Games.
Sivoliz has played against the Bulgarian national team. One of the more memorable matches was at the London 2012 Olympic Games, when Russia defeated Bulgaria in the semi-finals (3:1) and subsequently won the gold medal.

In addition, Sivoliz has also participated in matches against Bulgaria in the World League, where the two teams often met in various stages of the tournament.
