Thousands attending the grand spectacle on the Unipol Arena pitch in Bologna surely noticed the presence of several representatives from the Arab world, who sat in the front row by the court. The Del Monte® Coppa Italia provided an occasion for a meeting between the Serie A Volleyball League and some representatives of the Dubai Sports Council. The meeting, held in one of the halls of the sports arena on the outskirts of Bologna, focused on the possible participation of the emirate's envoys in the organization of the Del Monte® Supercup, the event that will open the 2025/26 season. As if on cue, the entire tournament offered three very close five-set matches, filled with tension and great emotions, which likely impressed the guests from the UAE. It remains to be seen whether the Italians will manage to attract a solid sponsor in their person. It is also possible that the Supercup could be held outside of Italy. We shall find out.
