Milano Vero Volley is bidding to host the Final Four of the Champions League at Forum Assago, now known as Unipol Forum. The project was proposed a year ago, shortly before the old CEV management chose Antalya. According to today's reports, Marco Fenoglio's Turkish Fenerbahçe, relying on stars Vargas and Fedorovtseva, has made an offer of 1,100,000 euros to CEV, while Milano Vero Volley's project includes a partnership with Volleyball World.
Although Istanbul is in the running (with Eczacıbaşı, Fenerbahçe, and Vakıfbank still in the tournament there), it seems that for May 3-4, the decision has already been made and the finals will be held in Turkey. Forum Assago is actually not reserved by Vero Volley, who probably were late with the idea. For the dates of May 3-4, the weekend of the Women's Final Four, the hall in Assago is already fully booked with concerts.

Therefore, it will not be in Italy, unless another venue is chosen. For example, PalaEur in Rome has no commitments for that weekend for now...
