Levski won the derby against Neftochimik, Lokomotiv with a great comeback against Pirin

Levski (Sofia) continued their dominance against Neftochimic (Burgas) in the men's volleyball championship and today won 3:1 in games at the "Boycho Branzov" hall by the sea. "The Blues" recorded their 13th consecutive victory in the championship.

In fact, Levski achieved their 24th consecutive victory on Bulgarian soil, which includes the Bulgarian Cup, also won in Burgas. The visitors remain clear leaders with 39 points, while Burgas retains its 2nd place for now with 28 points.

The match ended in one hour and 45 minutes, and with the exception of the third game, the hosts struggled to put up a fight. Levski's volleyball players made 18 aces, demonstrated a powerful attack through the middle, and good blocking to win the match.

Neftochimic could have made a comeback in the match in the second game, after reaching a tie at 24:24 and at 25:25. Krastev and Axel Truhchev from Neftochimic made consecutive serving errors and gave the set to Levski.

Nevertheless, Burgas rallied in the third game, which they won after the 20th point, when they found a good rhythm. The fourth set, however, was one-sided, and Neftochimic had no answer for the powerful serve of the Sofia team.

For Levski, Todor Skrimov scored 17 points and was also chosen as the player of the match. Vladimir Garkov also scored 17, and Vladislav Antov finished with 12. For "the red-blacks" from Burgas, David Krastev and Axel Truhchev each had 12 points.

Lokomotiv Avia (Plovdiv) moved up to 5th place in the standings after defeating Pirin (Razlog) with 3:2 games as guests. The match was even for most of its duration, which was reflected in the rallies of the four games. In the tie-break, the hosts from Razlog took a 14:11 lead and were on the verge of victory, but allowed a comeback and ultimately had to swallow the defeat.

The top scorer for Lokomotiv was Julien Georgiev with 20 points (1 block, 2 aces). Christoph Horvath added 18 points for the win, and for Pirin, number 1 was Marian Nakov with 24 points (1 block, 2 aces). Teodor Kamenkov finished with 23 points (4 blocks, 1 ace).
