Simeon Nikolov improved his ace record in the win over Lewis

Simeon Nikolovplayed a key role in his team's away victory against Lewis with3-1on Saturday night at Neil Carey Arena.


Long Beach State started the match hesitantly, losing the first set by20-25. In the second, however, Nikolov took control, organizing attacks that led his team to a dramatic victory with27-25. A key moment was his precise assist to Daniil Herschtinovich, which led to the decisive point.
In the third set, Nikolov demonstrated his class in distribution, recording several masterful assists that allowed Long Beach to dominate and close the set with25-16.

The fourth part was a true test of Long Beach's character, but Nikolov showed maturity, despite his youth, by makingkey assists and delivering several important serves. Ultimately, Long Beach won the set with25-23and closed the match with3-1.

With51 assists and 16 digs, Nikolov played a crucial role in his team's victory. He also addedfive aces (!), improving his personal best for the season! His excellent performance is further proof that the young Bulgarian setter is on his way to becoming one of the most promising players in college volleyball.
