Asseco Resovia Rzeszow started the playoff phase of the Challenge Cup with an expected victory in Cyprus. Rzeszow lost the first game in the clash with Pafiakos Paphos, after a weak attack by the guests and excellent defense by the hosts, but in the next ones, they confirmed their role as favorites. Thus, coach Tomas Sameivuo's boys left Cyprus with a solid lead before the return leg on January 28 in Rzeszow.Boyan Yordanov had an off day, scoring only 2 points in the game minutes in the third and fourth sets.
