Loko Novosibirsk struggled against an outsider, Plamen Konstantinov unhappy with the game

Lokomotiv Novosibirsk achieved a difficult victory over visiting "Orenburzhe" from Orenburg in a match from the twenty-first round of the PARI Super League 2025 in Russia. For Novosibirsk's outside hitters, Marco Jovic and Alexander Kostadinov played the entire match. At the net, Ilyas Kurkaev and Dmitry Lyzik alternated with Yuri Brazhnyuk. The guests only managed to win the first set, and in the subsequent sets, the experienced hosts asserted their superiority.
Opposite Hitter Ilya Kazachenkov scored 22 points (3 aces), middle blocker Yuri Brazhnyuk recorded 14 points (4 blocks), and outside hitter Marco Jovic added 13 points.
Plamen Konstantinov was unhappy after the match and stated that some players did not take advantage of their opportunities.
"I want people not to constantly wait for someone to push them. But to use the opportunities given to them. Because these opportunities eventually run out. It's impossible to wait a lifetime. I think we give many chances. But not everyone takes advantage of their opportunities," said the head coach of "Lokomotiv" after the difficult victory against "Orenburzhe".

The coach did not name names, but since the other reserve player Yuri Brazhnyuk performed well (14 points, +12), it's not hard to guess that he was referring to 20-year-old outside hitter Alexander Kostadinov. The absence of Yoandy Leal and Omar Kurbanov's fever gave him playing time, but he didn't make good use of it: 31% positive reception, 31% attack efficiency (6/16, 4 errors) and a utility rating of -3. Partially because of this, "Loko" found it so difficult to achieve victory over one of the championship's outsiders.

"Lokomotiv" (Novosibirsk) - "Orenburzhe" (Orenburg) - 3:1 (22:25, 25:16, 25:22, 25:22).

The railwaymen's next match will be an away game - on January 17th in Novy Urengoy. After that, Novosibirsk will host "Dynamo-LO" on January 25th at "Lokomotiv Arena."
With the victory over Orenburg, Lokomotiv climbed to third position in the standings.
