The Polish federation has invited the Bulgarian men's national team to a friendly tournament, which will be part of their preparation for the Nations League in the summer. Germany is confirmed to participate in the competition, and the fourth team will most likely be Slovenia.
After Bulgaria announced a month ago that they would be camping in Japan before the World Championship in the Philippines, we will have more opponents in the Land of the Rising Sun. Thanks to his connections, coach Gianlorenzo Blengini has almost arranged two friendly matches with the USA. The Americans will also be preparing in Japan for the World Championship.
The national team's staff is practically ready. Andrey Zhekov has agreed to be Blengini's assistant.
Ventsislav Simeonov will not be part of the first team, but will lead Bulgaria's U21 team. However, the connection between the two squads will be close, and there will be a transfer of players.
The national team's preparation for the Nations League will start on May 4. About ten days earlier, players who have already finished their club commitments will undergo medical examinations in Sofia.
