Neftochimik 2010 continues its recruitment for the 2026/2027 season, having officially signed setter Vladimir Stankov. The experienced playmaker arrives in Burgas after a stint at Lokomotiv Avia (Plovdiv) and will be part of the ambitious project of the Bulgarian Cup winner.
Stankov, who will turn 30 in August, is a well-known name in Bulgarian volleyball. In his career, he has defended the colors of the two most successful Bulgarian clubs – CSKA and Levski, and also has appearances with the Bulgarian national team.
With his signing, the Burgas team strengthens the key setter position. Last season, Ukrainian Dmytro Dolgopolov and Lyuboslav Telkiyski played in this position for the team.
Neftochimik also retains a significant part of its core after a successful campaign, in which the team triumphed with the Bulgarian Cup and finished as runner-up in the league. The team retains outside hitter Dimitar Vasilev, opposite hitter Stoyan Dimitrov, middle blockers Martin Krastev and Stefan Chavdarov, as well as libero Yasen Petrov.
In Burgas, they will rely on Stankov's experience and leadership qualities to help the team in the battle for honors in the new season.
