Serbia recorded their second victory in the Nations League, after defeating Belgium with a score of 3:1 (25:18, 24:26, 25:21, 25:22) in Brazil.
The "Eagles" dominated the first set with aggressive serving and stable play in all elements. The Belgians responded in the second set, which they won dramatically after a comeback from 24:24. However, this did not shake the Serbian team, which imposed its will in the next two sets and deservedly reached the victory.
The top scorers for Serbia were Veljko Masulovic and Vuk Kulpina with 18 points each, Lazar Marinovic added 17, and Aleksandar Nedeljkovic finished with 11. Setter Aleksa Batak excellently managed the team's play.
For Belgium, Ferre Reggers scored 25 points.
With this success, Serbia accumulated 6 points from their first two matches and climbed to second place in the temporary standings before the clash with host Brazil.
