The two teams split the first two sets completely mirroring each other. In the second set, Poland led almost until the end, but crumbled on reception when Ngapeth stepped up to the service line. In the third set, the teams fiercely competed, with the score going point for point until the middle of the set. Gradually, France gained the upper hand, pulling ahead by two or three points. At the very end of the set, the Poles managed to equalize, but the French were more concentrated and closed the set 25-23. The fourth set saw stronger pressure from the hosts, Poland, who managed to force the match into a tie-break. Full of twists and a dramatic finish, the last set offered both teams the opportunity to close the match. Luck was on the side of Ngapeth and company, who managed to take the set 16-18 and thus seal their ticket to the final.
Norbert Huber was the top scorer for the hosts, realizing 18 points. For the winners, Yacine Louati had the most points with 21, closely followed by Théo Faure with 20.
