BF Volleyball: The Federation has no relation to the television rights for the Nations League

The increased fan interest in the television broadcast of the Bulgarian national teams' matches in the Volleyball Nations League prompted the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation to issue an official clarification on the matter.
The headquarters emphasized that they do not participate in the processes of acquiring, distributing, or selling television rights for international volleyball competitions. According to the federation, decisions regarding the broadcasting of tournaments are made entirely by television operators, who can apply for and purchase the rights from the respective organizations that own them.
The Bulgarian Volleyball Federation reminds that the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) controls the rights for competitions such as the Nations League, World Championships, World Cup, and Club World Championship. For its part, the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) holds the rights for the European Championships, Champions League, and other club tournaments under its auspices.
The Federation categorically states that it has no possibility to influence the choice of television channel to broadcast the international matches of the national teams. The exclusive rights for a given territory belong to the media outlet which has won the respective procedure and signed a contract with the legal rights holder.

The Bulgarian Volleyball Federation notes that they fully understand the fans' desire to follow the performances of our representative teams, but clarify that questions regarding television coverage should be directed to the television operators and media outlets that participate in the procedures for purchasing the rights.

In conclusion, the federation expresses gratitude to all media outlets that invest funds in broadcasting matches involving Bulgarian national teams, as well as games from the domestic championships, providing fans with the opportunity to be closer to their favorite game.
