Ukraine defeated China 3:1 (25:17, 21:25, 25:20, 25:22) in Match No. 10 of Pool 3 in Week 1 of the Men's Volleyball Nations League, played in Linyi, China.
The Ukrainians secured an important victory against the hosts, gaining an advantage primarily from blocks and serves. China won the second set but failed to maintain the pace in the decisive moments of the third and fourth sets.
After a convincing start and winning the first set, Ukraine faltered in the second set, when China made a series of breaks and tied the score. In the decisive moments, however, Raul Lozano's team asserted dominance with aggressive serving, solid blocking, and excellent defense, where Yaroslav Pampushko was among the key figures. In attack, the main scorer was again Vasyl Tupchii with 21 points, and the Ukrainians achieved their first victory in this year's edition of the Nations League.
