Head coach of the Ukrainian men's national team, Raul Lozano, publicly announced the names of 35 fortunate players who made it into the extended squad. Among the 35 names, there are many familiar faces not only from PlusLiga but also from the First League in Poland. In total, there are 9 of them. There is also a spectacular return of Oleh Plotnytskyi from the Italian champion Perugia.

A player from the local efbet Super Volley is also present - Lokomotiv Avia's setter Dmytro Dolgopolov.

This is Raul Lozano's second season as coach of the Ukrainian national team, having taken over from Uģis Krastiņš last year, who held the position for more than 7 years.

However, as official Ukrainian media indicate, coaches are still observing players who could potentially join the team after the end of the club season.
