Krasimir Mironov takes over Dunav after parting ways with Plamen Hristov

After parting ways with Plamen Hristov, who did not renew his contract with the club due to disagreements regarding transfer policy, Dunav (Ruse) now has a new head coach. The club management officially voted confidence in Krasimir Mironov, who will lead the team in the upcoming 2026/2027 season in WINBET Super Volley.

The decision was taken unanimously by the Board of Directors of the Ruse club. Mironov is well-known within the Dunav structure and is the person who led the team to the championship title in the Higher League and earned promotion to the elite. Under his leadership, the Ruse team recorded an impressive 25 wins in 25 matches and deservedly won promotion to the elite of Bulgarian volleyball.
The club is adamant that he is the most suitable person to continue the team's development at the highest level, as he is perfectly familiar with both the internal organization and the qualities of the players.
The new coach did not hide his ambitions for the upcoming challenge:

We are actively working on the selection of the squad. If everything goes according to plan, we will have a very interesting and strong team. We look forward to seeing you in the hall for an exciting and intriguing season.

In Ruse, intense work is already underway on the summer squad selection, with the aim for Dunav to build a competitive team for its first participation in WINBET Super Volley after returning to the elite. Expectations are that the club will announce its first new signings in the coming weeks.
The appointment of Krasimir Mironov ensures continuity in the Ruse team's project, who will try to carry over the winning spirit from the Higher League among the best teams in Bulgaria.
