Argentine international Ignacio Luengas will continue his career with Polish team Ślepsk Malow Suwałki, where he will be a teammate of Bulgarian international Asparuh Asparuhov.
Last season, the 204-cm outside hitter played for French team Tourcoing, where he was a teammate of Venislav Antov. Luengas, who is also well-known to Bulgarian fans following the French championship, took part in the friendly match between Argentina and Bulgaria in Rosario before the start of the Nations League.
The 28-year-old volleyball player has solid experience in European volleyball, having played in Finland, Spain, the Czech Republic, and France. In the 2023/2024 season, he was named MVP and best outside hitter of the Czech championship.
In addition to Luengas, Suwałki also signed German international Moritz Reichert and Polish outside hitter Marcel Hendzelewski, who will strengthen the competition for the position in the squad for the new season.
