Six-time Bulgarian champions VC Neftochimic 2010 have signed 25-year-old opposite David Krastev, who had been on trial in Burgas since the beginning of the year. Neftochimic decided on this step after an emergency ulcer operation sidelined their starting opposite, Ra. As first reported byvolleyweek.bgKrastev left the team of the first-division Russian club "Yaroslavich", Yaroslavl, whose coach is Olympic champion Sergey Grankin. The 25-year-old opposite signed in Russia after spending one season with Serbian Radnicki, Kragujevac. Krastev's first match is expected to be against Lokomotiv Avia in the ¼ finals of the Bulgarian Cup tournament, which will take place next week in Burgas.
Meanwhile, VC Neftochimic 2010 warmed up for the national Cup tournament with a 4:0 (25:21, 25:22, 27:25, 25:15) victory over city rivals Dea.
