Fenerbahçe Medicana men's volleyball team hosted Bursa Metropolitan Municipality in the 14th round of the SMS Group Efeler League. The hosts took the victory with a 3:1 (25:27, 25:17, 25:22, 25:14) win.

The match will be remembered for the first minutes of play by the 'Yellow Canaries' new addition, two-time Olympic champion Earvin Ngapeth, who played his first match in front of a modest 217 (!) spectators at the Burhan Felek Volleyball Hall, which has a capacity of 5,500 spectators! In his last match for Poitiers, the hall had 5,200 fans!

The home team started the match with the lineup of Dražen Luburić, Osman Çağatay Durmaz, Denis Oleg Karyagin, Fabian Drzyzga, Yiğit Gülmezoğlu, Ahmet Samet Baltacı, and liberos Caner Dengin and Burak Güngör.

The beginning was difficult for the hosts, who lost the first set, but then took the initiative and, thanks to Luburić's good play, managed to tie the sets.
The hosts took the lead in the third set with a 6:4 score on Luburić's serve, who was again key to the success in this set. Fenerbahçe Medicana carried their good play into the fourth set, increasing the lead to a double-digit difference for 18:8. The team maintained their comfortable lead and closed the set and the match with 25:14.

Serbian international Dražen Luburić was above all, finishing with 24 points (1 ace).Denis Karyagin contributed 10 points (1 block) in two sets on the court.

Ngapeth, who entered the game in the third and fourth sets, scored 6 points (1 block), recording 36% attack efficiency, 82% positive reception, and 55% perfect reception.
