Olympiacos officially presented Martin Atanasov

Greek giants Olympiacos officially announced the signing of Bulgarian international Martin Atanasov. The 29-year-old outside hitter signed his contract and will be part of the club's men's volleyball team.



Atanasov, who is 199 cm tall, is among the established names in his position in European volleyball. The Bulgarian has significant international experience, having played in Turkey, Italy, Russia, France, and Germany during his career. He has worn the jerseys of Belediyespor, Ziraatbank, Galatasaray, Monza, Lokomotiv Novosibirsk, Chaumont, and Friedrichshafen.
In his career, Atanasov has three Turkish titles, as well as numerous individual awards. He has been selected as the best outside hitter in the CEV Champions League twice – in the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 seasons.
Last season, he played in the Italian SuperLega for Monza. There, he averaged 8.8 points per match, with a 46% attack success rate, 39% efficiency, 16 aces, and 15 blocks. Olympiacos also highlighted his stability in reception.
Martin Atanasov is also a key player for the Bulgarian national team. With the representative team, he won a silver medal at the World Championship in 2025.
