The National Volleyball League (NVL) and WINBET company signed a three-year partnership agreement, under which Bulgaria's elite men's championship will be named WINBET Super Volley.
The new contract covers not only the championship but also the men's Bulgarian Cup and Bulgarian Supercup tournaments. The agreement was presented at a special event in Sofia with the participation of NVL President Zhivko Zhelev, WINBET Online CEO Malina Slavcheva, and the league's Marketing Director Atanas Varbanov.
The NVL management described the partnership as an important step for the development of club volleyball in the country. According to Zhivko Zhelev, the interest of a large company in the championship is a sign of the progress the league has achieved in recent years in terms of organization and marketing. He emphasized that the cooperation will enable the implementation of new initiatives aimed at clubs, players, and fans of the game.
WINBET stated that the company has a long-standing presence in Bulgarian volleyball through supporting leading clubs, and the partnership with NVL is a natural next step in developing its relationship with the sport. Expectations are that the new collaboration will contribute to better promotion of the championship and increased interest in matches from the domestic league.
Zhivko Zhelev also revealed that thanks to the new agreement, the number of televised matches will increase. While approximately 60 matches per year were broadcast on MAX Sport in recent seasons, going forward, viewers will be able to watch over 80 live matches from WINBET Super Volley.
