The Argentine national team continues its preparation for the upcoming participation in the Volleyball Nations League with good results in friendly matches against Venezuela. After three consecutive victories, the "Gauchos" are now turning their attention to the next challenge – the friendly game against Bulgaria in Rosario.

In the last match against Venezuela, the Argentinians once again demonstrated superiority and won 3:1 (25:20, 29:31, 25:16, 25:12). Gomez was the top scorer for the winners with 15 points.
The matches were part of the preparatory program of head coach Horacio Dileo, who used an extended squad and gave more players the opportunity to gain match practice before the official matches this summer.
However, Argentina's series of friendly matches is not over yet. On June 6 in Rosario, the South Americans will host Bulgaria in their final test before the start of the Volleyball Nations League. The match is organized as part of the "Copa Prevención Salud" event, named after one of the main partners of the Argentine Volleyball Federation.
For the Bulgarian national team, the match will also be an important test against one of the traditionally strong opponents on the international stage. The friendly game will give both coaching staffs the opportunity to draw final conclusions about the condition of their teams immediately before the start of the official season.
Interestingly, the match in Rosario will not be the only clash between the two teams this summer. Bulgaria and Argentina will face each other again just a week later – on June 13 in Brasilia, during the first tournament of the Volleyball Nations League. This makes the upcoming friendly a kind of dress rehearsal before the first official match between the two squads this season.
