Two Bulgarians joined IBB Spor, Denislav Bardarov's former club

Turkish IBB Spor (Istanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor), where Bulgarian center Svetoslav Bardarov played years ago, has attracted two Bulgarian volleyball players for the new season in the elite Efeler League.
The club officially announced the signing of national setter Georgi Seganov and outside hitter Kristiyan Aleksov, who will defend the team's colors during the 2026/2027 season.

IBB Spor welcomed Seganov with the message:

"Welcome to our family. We wish you a season full of successes under our dark blue and red kit."

29-year-old Georgi Seganov is among the most experienced Bulgarian setters. During his career, he has played in the championships of Bulgaria, Italy, Poland, Czech Republic, and Turkey, and has also been part of the Bulgarian national team for years.
Just an hour earlier, the Istanbul club also presented Kristiyan Aleksov, who will strengthen the team's outside hitter position.

The official club announcement stated:

"We are proud to welcome Kristiyan to our family and look forward to seeing him shine in our dark blue and red jersey. We wish him an excellent season."

With the signing of the two Bulgarians, IBB Spor clearly demonstrates its ambitions for a stronger performance in the Turkish championship, which continues to be one of the most competitive volleyball leagues in Europe.
For Seganov and Aleksov, this will be a new challenge in their careers, as both will have the opportunity to compete against a number of world stars who traditionally play in the Turkish Efeler League.
