Bulgaria lost its second match against Argentina

Bulgaria suffered a second loss to Argentina in the warm-up matches before the start of the Volleyball Nations League. Marcelo Abbondanza's national team lost 0:3 (19:25, 19:25, 21:25) in the second friendly match between the two teams, played in a packed hall in Rosario.

The third set was the most contested. Bulgaria started excellently and took a 6:2 lead, but the hosts gradually found their rhythm and turned the score to 15:11. The Argentinians solidified their advantage at 18:14 and 21:14, but the "lionesses" did not give up and reduced the deficit to 16:21 and 18:22.

At the end of the set, Bulgaria got within three points at 20:23, but Argentina withstood the pressure and closed the set 25:21. The last point of the match came after a successful block against Kalina Veneva.
The Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the match was chosen to be middle blocker Bianca Farriol (No. 11) from Argentina's squad.

The two friendly matches against "Las Panteras" were part of the Bulgarian national team's preparation for the first week of the Volleyball Nations League in Brazil. The national team will open their participation in the tournament with a match against Olympic champion Italy.
