The Sofia City Court has rejected the request of 46 clubs, members of the BFV, for an earlier convocation of a reporting and election meeting, at which a new leadership of the federation is to be elected. We remind you that some time ago 52 clubs made a request for the convocation of the supreme body of the federation - the General Assembly, to be held on July 30 in the city of Stara Zagora.
In its decision, the judge refuses to grant the request of 1/3 of the clubs, members of the BFV, on the grounds thatwithin the legally established 2-week period, the BFV announced an invitation to convene a General Assembly.
The court also considers that the date for holding the General Assembly is a matter of expediency and is entirely within the competence of the BFV Management Board. The same applies to the venue of the General Assembly - again by decision of the Management Board, entirely for reasons of expediency. Since the proceeding is a security proceeding, the act of the court replaces an invitation to convene a General Assembly not sent within a 2-week period. In this particular case, an invitation exists, which is why the request of 1/3 of the clubs was rejected.
The court rejected the protesters' request for an earlier convocation of the reporting and election assembly of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation.
