Bogdanka LUK Lublin continues to build a squad with championship ambitions, having officially signed one of the most recognizable figures in world volleyball – Japanese national Ran Takahashi. Thus, the 25-year-old outside hitter will become a teammate of Bulgarian national Alex Grozdanov at the Polish powerhouse.

The transfer had been expected for months, but only now has the Lublin club confirmed the acquisition of the Japanese star. For Takahashi, this will be a return to European volleyball after his period with the Japanese Suntory Sunbirds. Before that, he gained significant experience in the Italian SuperLega with Padua and Monza.
With this move, Bogdanka LUK's management sends a clear message to the competition in PlusLiga. After signing Wilfredo Leon and solidifying the squad around players like Alex Grozdanov, Marcin Komenda, and Kevin Sasak, the club adds another international star to its project.
Besides his athletic qualities, Takahashi is also one of the most popular personalities in volleyball. The Japanese player has millions of followers on social media and has become the face of numerous advertising campaigns, which further increases the marketing value of the transfer.
For Alex Grozdanov, the new season also promises to be extremely interesting. The Bulgarian middle blocker has already established himself as one of the key figures in the team, having won the Polish Championship, the Polish Cup, and an individual award for best middle blocker in the national cup final tournament over the past two years.
With the signing of Takahashi, Bogdanka LUK Lublin not only elevates the quality of its squad but also solidifies its position as one of the most ambitious club projects in European volleyball.
