The end of 2024 will delight volleyball fans with the Quarterfinals of the Del Monte Italian Cup in the SuperLega. The four matches will be played in a single game between December 29 and 30 and promise to bring a lot of emotions, and why not some surprises, given the high technical level of the eight participating teams. None of the matches has a clear winner in advance, and we expect to find out which teams will secure a spot in the semifinals, which will be held on January 25 and 26, 2025, at the Unipol Arena in Bologna.
The first two teams that will take to the court tomorrow, Sunday, December 29, at 5:00 PM, areItas Trentino and Cisterna Volley. Trentino, currently second in the standings, will face the seventh-placed team in the SuperLega. Michieletto and his teammates, after a convincing victory against Milano, demonstrate great stability and are favorites against Cisterna.
At 7:00 PM, the Eurosuole Forum will host the interesting clash betweenCucine Lube Civitanova and Allianz Milano.
At 7:30 PM, the anticipated battle betweenRana Verona and Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenzawill be played at the Pala AGSM AIM in Verona. This match will also be broadcast by the Bulgarian MaxSport 1.
On Monday, December 30, at 9:30 PM, the quarterfinals will conclude with the match betweenSir Susa Vim Perugia and Valsa Group Modena.
The top eight teams from the standings after the end of the first half of the season participate. The quarterfinals are played in a single match at the arena of the higher-ranked team.
