Bulgarian national Dobromir Dimitrov will no longer wear the jersey of Spanish champion Guaguas Las Palmas. The news was announced by the club through a social media post, in which Guaguas confirmed the departure of four volleyball players after the end of the 2025/2026 season.
Besides the Bulgarian setter, Jean Pascal Diedhiou, Ezequiel Figueroa and Helder Spencer are also leaving the team.
Dobromir Dimitrov was part of the squad that won the Spanish Superliga title and helped Guaguas solidify its dominance in local volleyball. The club thanked all departing players for their contribution to the team's development.
Meanwhile, Spanish media report that Guaguas will also part ways with one of the great legends of world volleyball
Osmany Juantorena.
According to information fromcanarias7.es, the Cuban with an Italian passport has already informed the management that he is leaving the club, after receiving a 'literally irresistible financial offer' from Saudi Arabia.
